Burly, an online subscription service for men’s shaving supplies, is an up-and-coming startup that provides its customers with a seamless initial product selection process then monthly shipments of their selected supplies.
This identity has two centers: convey to the user Burly’s rebellious nature, and provide a small human touch to each item Burly produces. This is accomplished by modifying the centuries-old icon of the raised fist to include a razor. Each stationary product Burly produces is stamped, by hand, with this logo. This process makes each item unique, from business card to shipping label.
